An incredibly charismatic 17 year old Seattle lady. It was hugely important to me to capture Gracie’s strength of character… and her grandmothers fur jacket!
“This is Grace Olivia’s last year in high school and I wanted to commemorate this milestone by having a portrait painted of a photograph that I took of Grace during a lovely fall day we spent together. Debbie was wonderful to work with, she was communicative and helpful and most importantly she captured this moment in time perfectly.
I couldn’t be happier”.

“I lost my training/competition partner Chess after 11 years of working stock, competiting in agility and obedience sports. He was brilliant: talented, hardworking and loved it all. He died from a rare cancer after a short illness the end of 2018. I am so glad I thought to have Debbie paint his likeness. It makes me smile everytime I come into the room and see him looking at me as if to say: "what are we going to do next??" “

“It was my husband and my 20 year wedding anniversary this year and we really wanted to find a special painting to mark this special milestone for us. We are thrilled with the painting. Debbie’s attention to detail and talent as an artist is totally unsurpassed. I would recommend her work to everyone - we all need a piece of Debbie Chapman art in our home to make us feel alive. Thank you so much Debbie!”

This piece winged it’s way to a beautiful Swiss chalet in the Alps. Inspired by the view from their windows!
Large Cow Commission
This was quite a large piece at 120cm x 120cm. The customer really wanted an impressive piece for that large wall. I just love how the cow’s ear tags have been picked out in the colour of the cushions.
How could I go wrong with a face like that! I have to admit (though not to my own dog of course!) I really fell for this fella.
Surprise Christmas present.
This lovely old gentleman left a farm to his niece in his will. She wanted a portrait to hang in the house so that his memory would live on there. Such a beautiful sentiment.
Made even more touching and emotional for me as he reminded me very much of my own Dad.
